Constitution Day in Poland/ Día de la Constitución en Polonia
Every year on 3rd May there is a celebration of the declaration of the Constitution of 1791. It was the first constitution in Europe and the second after the Constitution of the United States of America (1787), designed to improve the political situation of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. You can admire this very important moment on the famous work of art of Polish painter – Jan Matejko. You will find it in the Royal Palace in Warsaw, which appears also in the background of the painting. From 2014 the Constitution is distinguished with the European Heritage Label.
Cada año el día 3 de mayo se celebra la proclamación de la Constitución de 1791. Fue la primera constitución en Europa y la segunda después da la de los Estados Unidos de América (1787), diseñada para mejorar la situación política de la Confederación polaco-lituana. Este momento importante se puede admirar en la famosa obra del pintor polaco – Jan Matejko. Se encuentra en el Castillo Real de Varsovia, que también aparece al fondo de la pintura. Desde el ano 2014 la Constitución es distinguida con un Sello de Patrimonio Europeo.
Solidarity in the fight against coronavirus/ La solidaridad en la lucha contra el coronavirus
Now, when all countries have to contend with the consquences of coronavirus, Krakow shows its solidarity with others, especially with the countries most affected within our european community. Yesterday and today, the most visible buildings in Krakow are iluminated during the night with the colours of Italy, Spain, Gemany and France as the sign of our mutual support. Ahora, cuando todos países se enfrentan a las consecuencias de coronavirus, Cracovia demuestra su solidaridad con otros, sobre todo con los países más afectados dentro de nuestra comunidad europea. Ayer y hoy, los edificios más visibles en Cracovia están iluminados por la noche con los colores de Italia, España, Alemania y Francia como una señal de nuestro mutuo apoyo.
